Dr Mistry has a warm and pleasant manner. I find his medical assessments clear and comprehensive, with the voice of the patient weaved into the body of the report; as well as demonstrating his expertise and knowledge of his speciality. He communicates in appropriate language and explains complicated medical conditions/diagnosis ins simple language, outlining all options so a patient can make a choice and be involved in their own car.

I am one of the administrators and have worked with Dr Amit Mistry for the past one year and before then about 4 years ago. He has a very high knowledge of psychiatry and works and looks after the patients well. Have seen him with the patients in Outpatients Clinic and is a very gentle and polite to the patients. We have also received good feedback about him from the patients in the community.

I worked as a colleague of Dr Mistry on ground breaking research that he was leading on the mental health and well being of individuals working in the physical training industry. He was a very effective, thorough and diligent researcher. He was a great team leader and I would definetely collaborate with him again in future.

I saw Dr Mistry as an outpatient for 1 year. He took a holistic approach and, unlike other doctors I have seen he was keen to reduce prescribed medication rather than constantly increase it - he wanted to find other solutions to my problems. I saw him as an NHS patient, but when I was having difficulties he went out of his way to offer me an appointment quickly. He was a good listener and very understanding.
